▷ Existing Regenerative Facility Introduction

Previous regenerative method in representative combustion technology RTO among VOC removal facility has regenerator more than two and the shift of the gas flow is undertaken in there. A combustion chamber is in the center of regenerator, heat storage material is filled with ceramic or metal.

At first, when VOC gas in figure A-1 is passing through left side of heat storage material, It is preheated up and then oxidized directly. Purified high-temperature gas is emitted into the atmosphere after its energy is recovered by the heat storage material. After exchange of the damper has undertaken by the following Timer, VOC gas is preheated up and then oxidized and recovered like A-2. So clean air is released into the atmosphere.

When the regeneration facility is diverted from A-1 to A-2 status, not decomposed VOC gas remains in the heat storage material and left Duct. When cycle is replaced, Untreated exhaust gas is emitted in a moment. So there are lots of problems to cause bad influences to production process due to the sudden loss of efficiency and pulsation by pressure changes.

The method by the combustion enables a wide range of organic materials combustion and satisfies three conditions of temperature, residence time and mixing, It is the system indicating processing efficiency more than 99%.

Representative combustion technology RTO is high-efficiency energy saving equipment which oxidizes VOC and VOC organic stench gas at the high temperature (800℃) and then recoveries heat that is occurred in combustion of gas by using heat storage material for heat exchanger.

One Can Type integrated facility beyond the existing regenerative method carries out a continuous flow in circular split way of gas by the Rotary Wing’s rotation. So always the half of regenerative layer is preheated, the other half has part of recovery the heat continuously to complete perfect combustion.
▷One Can Type Rotary Wing RTO Structure

RTO system consists of the following(from the bottom to top)

1. Exhausting valve area: The purified air goes out to the air.
2. Inflow area: Before filtering, the bad gas flows in the system.
3. Distribution area: Induce the gas to flow
4. Regeneration area: Preheating and main heating
5. Burning area: Installed burner
6. Rotary Wing: located between Inflow area and Distribution
7. Running gear: Running the Rotary Wing to prevent the leak from the Rotary Wing,
we install the piston ring and so on. Also, the purge is installed in the system to remove remaining gas
Burning area, Regeneration area and Distribution area have divided into several pieces of fan-shape cells. When the Rotary Wing is rotating, the half side functions as a Cooling Zone and the other half one functions as a Heating Zone continuously.

There is Dead Zone between the Cooling Zone and Heating Zone which prevents to mix the bad gas and fresh air. The remaining gas which cannot be filtered and burned out is passing through air purge before sending itself from Cooling Zone to Heating Zone.

- Basic Principle
The gas containing VOCs stores the calorie generated from combustion of gases at 800℃ using a heat storage material for direct heat exchange, and then regenerated heat raises the temperature and burns the VOC properly.
This technology can use the waste heat emitted to the outside efficiently as well as prevent air contamination by supplying the heat by using a heat storage material for heat exchange without discharging the considerable amount of generated combustion heat while removing organic solvents and organic stench.

RTO(Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer), a representative combustion technology of the VOC removal equipment, is a combustion technology using the heat storage and radiation principle of a ceramic heat storage material.
